Osemele and Monroe did not have a good night against the Cowboys
Re-watched the game today and the issues on the OL boiled down to Osemele and Monroe. Monroe was unable to get good leverage on the Cowboys DE on a couple of plays. Osemele was out of position or couldn't obtain leverage when working with Monroe on their initial double team of the Cowboys defensive lineman.

Nice job, we have 3 weeks to get better. What is KO doing in the second shot? Looks like he's trying to be the safety valve and might even be past the LOS.

Exhibition game on the road is always borderline and the 'boys D was trying to make an early statement......I am not too concerned about that. Next week should be a different story.

Yeah, last night was not the best for the OL.
I'm still encouraged by the run blocking though.
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HDAlthough Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.
