    I think a lot of it has to do with the defensive coordinators as well.

    A great defensive coordinator (or offensive coordinator) can scheme well enough to capitalize on mismatches, errant plays from the opposition, and get the most out of lesser players.

    Not sure if Jernigan possess those explosive traits that those guys had. He looks more like a slightly more explosive Art Jones to me, with less size.
