QB Coach comments on the value of player organized workouts

Is Joe Flacco overly criticized? Does the lack of player organized workouts make you question his leadership? See what a QB coach has to say and weigh in with your thoughts at the link.

Tony - I have to say that I am really glad you went out and chatted it up with a QB coach and got a much different perspective than what a lot of us might be able to get.

This is a really good piece. It is informative and I think falls in line with what many have been saying for years.

    Link works now ....

Yeah, really good insight. Kind of mirrors what a lot of folks here have been saying. I was big proponent of Kubiak coming here and this make me feel more confident we found the right guy to run this offense.

I hope Tony's next piece centers around the importance (or not) of supposed team leaders Suggs and Ngata attending OTAs with the rest of the team instead of blowing them off. I would value some insight as to why they get a free pass. At least the young guys in the secondary can look to Webb for leadership.

I think there is something to be said for the unspoken value of a player who is willing to take unpaid time to get together with teammates to work toward improvement.
Chris Johnston seems to have forgotten that in our old system the WRs ran their routes differently, speed-cuttting where they would often bend their routes as opposed to making sharp sudden cuts (if I'm not mistaken). That and we have a new WRs coach, so how are Joe and the WRs supposed to know how they're expected to run their routes in the new system, while running some of those routes in a new way, BEFORE the coaches are allowed to show and teach them these new changes?
Seems to me like a waste of time if they aren't going to do it properly because they don't know what the proper way is yet.
