Are you dizzy??? Stop spinning a second and listen to what I'm saying.
3 of the last 4 DROY's were not ILBs. This draft has the most highly touted defensive rookie in recent memory. Throw Mack in there with Clowney. Yet, you have Mosely as some sort of shoo-in (also listing 2 so-so safeties as his main competition). It's ridiculous.

Re: 48th Overall Pick: Tim Jernigan
Look back 10 years, unless someone does something EXTRAORDINARY, they simply hand it to the guy with the most tackles.
Shoo-in might be a bit of a stretch, but he certainly has the "easiest path" to the award.
Another way to put it... if the player's performance and success is not clearly demonstrated on the stat sheet, they will not win the award.
Clowney wouldn't win the award with 6 sacks, even if that meant he was double teamed all season and Mercilus, Reed and Watt all benefited getting double digit sacks each.
Haloti Ngata stood no chance.
For the record, Sheldon Richardson led all DT's in football with 77 tackles...Last edited by jonboy79; 05-20-2014 at 12:48 PM.

As far as Rookie of the Year, Jadeveon Clowney unexpectedly comes in as the heavy favorite to win the defensive award.
Will Jadeveon Clowney win the 2014 Defensive Rookie of the Year?
Yes 2/1
Will Khalil Mack win the 2014 Defensive Rookie of the Year?
Yes 4/1
