    Ravens-Niners Planning Joint Scrimmage

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...reseason-game/

Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reports that the Ravens and 49ers are planning to join up for practice and a scrimmage ahead of their August 7 preseason opener. Those practices would give both teams a chance to see their players against outside competition in a controlled setting, something that several teams do to change up their practice schedule in the summer.
Have they ever done a scrimmage before? I can't remember it happening before.

If you mean Ravens and Niners, I don't believe so. But they used to do scrimmages with the Redskins. They alternated between Baltimore and DC for a couple years.

Thanks, I couldn't remember whether they'd ever done a scrimmage period.

I'm hearing that it will be 2 days of practices in addition to the game. The game is on August 7 which is a Thursday so I doubt that they hang around afterwards. Guessing that the practices will be the Monday and Tuesday prior to the game. If they can squeeze a Sunday in there, maybe they'll host a practice at Stevenson or the Naval Academy but that's a bit of a reach IMO.

Would be cool to have the fans able to see Q practice. I'm sure the reception would be great and he'd love it.

Preseason game, then an open co-practice at M&T Bank on Friday, then 3 additional practices at the Under Armour Performance Center through Monday. Call me no fun, but this seems like an unnecessary media circus and distraction. I'd be more fine with it if they just did the open co-practice at M&T. At least it's happening here and not Santa Clara, I guess.
"A lot" is a two word expression denoting a great deal or greatly, as in "I like sunshine a lot." "Alot" is a lovable imaginary grammar monster. You can love a lot; you can love an alot; you can love alots a lot; but they are not the same thing.
