    Tech Advice

Pretty sure I'm going to be breaking up with Apple soon but before I do, I want to safe guard my music purchases off iTunes.

Is there a way to convert those files from M4A to MP3 so they can be played on any platform?

I'm most likely going to by Amazon's smart phone when it comes out and want to put my library on that phone.

Highlight the songs in your iTunes library, then right click and choose "create MP3 version"

But does that also solve the issue of a song purchased via iTunes being able to play in other platforms?

Though it'd be more money, you could also just pick up an iPod solely for music and your Amazon phone for everything else.

Yes Itunes music has been DRM free for a long time.
