That pick just threw the Redskins War Room into a tizzy, as we had that name etched on a nameplate already...

Pick coming in an hour or so, as we re-group

    Ok, we've re-grouped....

With the 66th selection in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins select Shayne Skov, ILB, Stanford.

Redskins have needs all over the defensive side. Their safeties are old, their CBs are led by DeAngelo Hall, they have a very average DL, they have two OLBs with deals expiring soon, and at ILB, they lost London Fletcher. Ideally, we would've gone with McGill, who can play S or CB, but with him going the pick before, and Redskins just went CB in Round 2 last year, I'm going with a tough run defender who is arguably the #3 ILB in this draft.

GOTA and the Raiders are on the clock. Big board is updated. Draft on!

The Raiders went with BPA the first 2 rounds. Now they are thinking about need. With Matt Shaub they can take the best QB available knowing that he doesn't have to be rushed on the field.

The Oakland Raiders select Tom Savage QB Pittsburgh

Savage is getting a ton of attention lately. I think he's going to be a 2nd round pick. Many scouts are comparing Savage to Nick Foles. I bet it's that same type of situation where he is eased into the offense and eventually clearly wins the job.

You chose a girl over a mock draft that is really nothing more than a fantasy time filler?

Smart move, my man. That is the best pick of the draft.

Glad to see that someone has their priorities straight, and by that I mean picking the girl.

I did landscaping all day. I'm beat to hell and just want to lay down.

Have to switch my beer over to a secondary and dry hop it though.

Until you've been married awhile...then you might pick the mock draft as a means to escape the "honey do" list for awhile :)
