I've watched tape on all of them. Bortles has a lot of upside, maybe the most in this entire crop. However, for my money, Carr has the best arm in this class. The guy can put balls on receivers 40 yards down the field on a frozen rope.

Carr's brother was the same way but he still wasn't a good QB. Phil Simms said the other day it was like watching the same player who he thought would have the same problems.

Maybe. You never know. Though, David Carr seriously had the cards stacked against him going to a brand new expansion team devoid of any real talent.

We are one year removed from a historically bad QB class. There are teams with huge itches that need to be scratched. When push comes to shove, those teams will pull the trigger on these QBs.

My opinion, for whatever it is worth, is that:

If not for last year, THIS YEAR would have been considered historically bad... I'm still not sure I see even a single first round QB...

werent they still talked about as first round talents before the draft though? I think it could be similar in this draft. start ranking them amongst the other positions and all of a sudden theyre not top 10 guys anymore, probably not even top 30 in most cases and they drop on acutal draft day. I could easily see a very similar scenario as last year, because i dont see a lot of difference. Theres no standout. Teams will reach, like the bills did, and it could be a surprise who actually goes off the board first (and where).

Agreed. Glad we're not in that situation

WalterFootball has them ranked on their big board as

    11. Bortles
    14. Manziel
    15. Bridgewater
    28. Carr

    Draftek has them as:

    2. Bridgewater
    7. Manziel
    11. Bortles
    27. Carr

    NFL.com has them:

    8. Bortles
    12. Bridgewater
    27. Manziel
    34. Carr

It's going to be interesting next month.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...l_head_coaches

For the most part, and particularly recently
    1) As HC, if you want to win your first SB then you have about 5 years tops...or you might not ever win it (see link)
    2) Since the 80s, only Cowher has lost his first SB and gone on to win a SB later
    3) Unless you have a superior defense, you're not winning a SB without a franchise QB...or at least a guy that can play like one

Other than the year following a SB win perhaps, new coaches and GMs won't ever have as much rope as what they had walking in the door.

    a) Get your franchise QB
    b) Don't spend stupid $$$ on FAs...especially, when they weren't on your roster to begin with, and really especially if they are WRs
    c) ????
    d) Win the SB

All we know about David Carr is that he was unable to throw while lying on his back. He is number 1 on the "most times sacked in a season" list. He is also number three. And while QBs can take some responsibility for getting sacked, there is not a QB who has ever played the game who would have had any success with that turd of a team.
