With the cornerback depth fairly exhausted and their lack of depth apprent, this causes....

With the 63rd pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos select Dontae Johnson, defensive back North Carolina State University.

Elway reaches badly but feels the need to given his depth chart of Talib (oft injured), Chris Harris (coming off the ACL he suffered in the divisional round), Tony Carter (a walking PI machine) and last years pick Kayvon Webster (Keenan Allen literally made him his female dog) who was targeted relentlessly week in and week out.

Dontae Johnson doesn't find out he's drafted until Saturday morning at 8 a.m. when he picks up his iPhone to check his text messages that came in over night. But boy is he excited as he was expecting to see his name strolling across the ticker during draft garbage time between 11 and 2 Saturday after noon.

The Seattle Seahawks pieced together an offensive line for most of 2013 and got away with it, but the need is definitely there. They still have a need at WR, but with the recent re-signing of Sidney Rice, that need is less than one of both protecting Russell Wilson and opening holes for Marshawn Lynch. It could be an OT or a OG, but the Seahawks big board is pretty clear here.

With the 64th pick of the 2014 RSR Mock Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select:

Gabe Jackson, OG, Mississippi State University

At 6' 3", 335 lbs, Jackson is a guard with quick feet and the agility of a smaller man. Offensive line coach Tom Cable is drooling over the prospect of developing this beast of a man into a perennial All-Pro. With Gabe Jackson's high upside, this pick wasn't all that difficult of a decision for the Super Bowl Champions. Not only was Jackson one of the better players left on the board, he also fills an area of need for the Seahawks, who do not have a 3rd round pick in this draft and therefore do not select again until #132. It was now or maybe never for a quality offensive lineman who can step in and start day one.

    That ends Round 2.

Round 3 begins with the Houston Texans (Houston Raven) on the clock.

The last few picks haven't been displayed on the main page. Makes it a little confusing to know who's been picked.

Two hours to go for Houston Raven...

That's because only 1 guy can edit it. He's been very good about it. Missing a couple isn't the end of the world.

    HR told me his pick.

With the 65th pick, the Houston Texans select Keith McGill, CB, Utah.

Kareem Jackson sucks and Jon Joseph has a history of injuries. McGill is 6'3" 215lbs and has surprising athleticism and coverage ability.
