Re: Johnny Football - Pro Day
What is the importance of Pro Day? The QB is throwing at his home field, with no pass rush, no DBs, with no game on the line to his favorite receivers.

Re: Johnny Football - Pro Day
It's more interesting when a player has a bad Pro Day like Teddy Bridgewater did. A great Pro Day is the norm. It's designed to give the player every advantage When someone does poorly you really have to wonder if they can handle any pressure because that's the only thing this measures.

Re: Johnny Football - Pro Day
The big thing is there is a lot more time to go through different drills and scenarios that showcase the skills of a player.
At the combine it is very fast paced and not a lot of reps. From what I understand most QB's only throw maybe 15-20 passes during their combine and scouts are looking at the receivers catching the passes as well (e.g., not 100% of the attention is given to the QB).
At a pro-day they they script the entire work out, it is all about the QB, and the QB can throw upwards of 100 passes giving scouts a significantly larger sample size.Disclaimer: The content posted is of my own opinion.
