    Re: FanSpeak Mock Draft Simulator

I just wound up with Manziel still on the board at 17. If that happens, we trade that pick.

It was Walters, which is why I was surprised.

Latest effort. Using the Walter big board, I came up with this, mostly by picking the BPA relative to need. I don't think CB is the biggest need, but considering the BPA on the board at the time, Dennard was a no-brainer. If the Ravens pulled this off, it would be sweet.

17 CB DARQUEZE DENNARD MICHIGAN STATE
48 S JIMMIE WARD NORTHERN ILLINOIS
79 OT JACK MEWHORT OHIO STATE
99 WR BRUCE ELLINGTON SOUTH CAROLINA
    134 RB TERRANCE WEST TOWSON
    138 QB ZACH METTENBERGER LSU
    175 DE TAYLOR HART OREGON
    194 ILB PRESTON BROWN LOUISVILLE

I think Walter is starting to get a bit unrealistic. I had a ridiculous slew of talent there at 17 for the Ravens. Ebron, Gilbert, Lewan, Clinton-Dix, and an OLB I can't remember. I've come up with what I think is a best case scenario for the Ravens with no trades. It addresses needs at times while also respecting BPA.

Now some of those guys could be decent bets (namely Moncrief and Latimer)...but none of those guys are at the top of my list.

So while the draft may be deep at WR...they can dry up pretty quickly.
If the Ravens can land Moses, Ward, and Latimer/Moncrief with their top 3 picks...that is a pretty fucking sweet draft.

My first try. Missed out on Mettenberger by one pick. Used the Walter board.

Looks great to me. I still think there is something wrong with this simulator because it's way too easy to get what looks to be an A+ draft

It is unrealistic, but it does kind of show how easily round-1 talent can slide all the way down into the bottom of round-2 and even round-3 in some circumstances.
