I'm not advocating a 1st round WR. I was simply suggesting a trading partner scenario. Based on the Ravens' draft history there is a strong possibility they trade out of that pick, but I doubt they want to trade all the way into the 2nd round. The indication is that they want an impact player - what position that impact comes from is anybody's guess.

If I were to back this statement it would be because of our inconsistencies with drafting WRs. A lot of fans get riled up when you talk about the past mistakes of Ozzie because he's so great, and I'm not taking anything away from the 2-time Superbowl winning GM. I'm just saying that, just in case, Odell Beckham Jr isn't as great as the Ravens thought, let's take Donte Moncrief. I don't know anything about either of these receivers, I'm just using their names because you did. For me, it'd be Mike Evans, if it's even possible now that everyone loves the kid, in the first and then Cody Hoffman or Michael Campenero in the 4th. I know these guys and they all have tremendous upside but the last two aren't projected to do much in the NFL for some reason.

They consistently talked about Gresham's athleticism and ability to stretch the field vertically. Also called him a WR in a TE's body and said he had elite level upside.

What do they talk about with Ebron?

I disagree, I haven't seen someone drop so many open passes since Dickson took the field, he cant block either

    ebron 40 - 4.6 bench -24 vert- 32

    V. Davis 40- 4.38 bench 33 vert 42

Not even close why would you even compare ebron to Davis....? Not quite is an understatement.... 10 in vert dif, 9 bp difference? sub 4.4 40 vs 4.6?

I don't see the fascination with Ebron. The hype around him reminds me of the hype around Tyler Eifert last year. These guys are good prospects but not nearly as good as they are hyped to be.

    7 WR's is silly.
We are a blue collar run first team, not a pansy pass only team.

I'd honestly rather 0 WR's then two in the first three picks.

If we double-dip, it should be at OL. Here's what I see:

    RECEIVERS:
    T Smith
    S Smith
    Marlon
    Jacoby
    Pitta
    ----------------
    RESERVES
    Dickson
    Deonte
    Mellette
    Furstenberg

    O LINE:
    LT -- Monroe.
LG -- KO. (Back injury healed?)
    C -- GG.
    RG -- Yanda.
    RT -- Wagner
    -----------------------
    RESERVES:
    Jah
    Shipley
    Jensen

Focusing only on the draft -- that's the topic -- which unit do YOU think needs more help?

    100% agree.
I could see double dipping from Bama - Clinton-Dix and Kuandijo
I could see double dipping from ND- Martin and Nicklas

But I can't see double dipping at WR early...

Let me know when football is played in shorts in a weight room. Maybe watch some tape and see the similarities based on football performance instead of blindly comparing Combine numbers.

We are? The Ravens were 8th in passing attempts last season. They will try to run more this year but they don't have the o-line to be a run first team.
