He might need to be in great shape if he does time in the can.

Rice is not going to jail. The charge may not even stick.

Anyway, Ray probably needs to drop five more pounds. I know he was hurt but he had zero burst last season. Just drop a little more for good measure.

Is he still having problems with the hip flexor? I have not heard much about that.

Ray Rice has lost 15 pounds so far this offseason

Ravens said they need to find a big, bruising back that gain the tough yards. Hopefully that means they've abandoned trying to get one of their own guys to be big. Maybe a reunion with Le'Ron McClain or a Blount signing? I think Blount might be cheap given the market that isn't there for running backs.

Your first sentence ... You sure about that?

That's not Kubes style so I'd be surprised that was mentioned by the team.

Perhaps, but at 210 he is still in the same weight class. He has to drop another ten pounds to reach cruiserweight.

It was in an article on the Ravens website some time ago. However that might've changed seeing as it was written before Kubiak came to town. But the Ravens have still said they would like to get more running backs.

If that's the case, shouldn't Rice be gaining weight? It seems as if he has the bruising aspect down.

My guess is he is taking a page from his mentor's career, how RAYRay lost weight to gain some quickness.

IIRC the FO said they need a back capable of getting the tough 3rd and short yards.
Rice isn't going to do it with bulk.... I remember a certain Joe Morris who seemed to pile up yards when it didn't look like he should be able to. He was 5'7" 195 .... I think it may work for Rice but the proof is in the games.

    Not in UFC.

My post was tongue-in-cheek. I think you missed the 'punch' line.
