I'm good with that as long as the 2 compliment each and provide the team with skills they currently lack. I think they need 1 strong possession style receiver who can make tough catches, and 1 shifty, make-u-miss in the open field type receiver since they haven't had 1 of those in a while. Someone able to turn a 10 yard catch into 20.

could be. I just dont see the problem in bringing him in also. Did stokely really effect us last year? because i see the same role for Smith.

    2013
Smith, Jones, Brown, Doss, stokely, thompson.

    2014
Smith, Brown, rookie, Smith, rookie/FA, mellette/thompson

I'd rather spend that cash on Edelman or Tate.

35 years old? I would have a hard time getting behind that.

No. His cap hit was 7 and his dead money is 9. I think they lower the hit this year to 6 by releasing him after 6/1 (pushing the remaining 3 into 2015).

I'll take Smith this team needs his attitude.

Stokely knew he was an end of rotation wr, but I doubt Steve Smith has any intention of going from #1 option in Car to 4th wr and possibly 6th or 7th receiving option in Bal, which is where he could be if the Ravens draft an impact wr & sign Owen Daniels.

    Clever. I don't think he's a "high" priority.

maybe. If his market dictates otherwise than so be it. I really have no issue with him coming in and being a 3 or 4 WR. I dont think theres ever a 6th or 7th option on the field so were talking a sub package or situational package like stokely. If he has issue with that, than hes not a fit here. I dont think Oz would be bringing him in to be a 2 or 3, unless its short term for a rookie to learn the offense.

No, we don't need the attitude of a player who punches his own teammates.

But the Panthers have won nothing with Smith's actions. His "leadership" has gotten them nowhere.

I think he would fit the need for reliable pass catcher and bringing some edge to the offense, but I feel he is 5 yrs too old to bring in now. His spot he would occupy could be for a longer term answer such as a 1st rd talent tbh.

I not against or for this strangely enough.

They made it to the playoffs last year; we didn't.

One year makes the difference? And it was because of Smith?
