John Harbaugh to get a full size bronze statue at Miami University

Good company...
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HDAlthough Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Statues of living persons that are still capable of mistakes always confounds me. See paterno. Wait til they are dead and can't mess up their legacy.

Re: John Harbaugh to get a full size bronze statue at Miami University
For my last birthday, my wife had a life-sized statue of me made out of milk chocolate. I'd show you guys a picture, but my sister-in-law ate it... Bc

Re: John Harbaugh to get a full size bronze statue at Miami University
Yeah, I'm a big Harbaugh loyalist, but this just kind've falls on it's face...
Two other statues of Paul Brown and Ara Parseghian, who both COACHED at Miami University of Ohio. John never coached there, he just played Defensive Back for a couple years.
I think John Harbaugh has made a name for himself in Ravens history, but in the run of NFL coaches, he's still just a blip on the radar. If he continues having success for 5-6 more years, he'll cement more of a legacy. Until then, he's about on par with Brian Billick.
And for the other reasons mentioned, while I don't expect that of Harbaugh, it makes a good point.
But, for those of you who have issues, what say you about Ray getting his statue at M&T Bank in the next few years?.

Re: John Harbaugh to get a full size bronze statue at Miami University
He's still a graduate of the college, though. He didn't just "play defensive back" as if it was some meaningless pitstop in his career and life, he was a student who matriculated through the university and became a member of that college community for the rest of his life. A school taking pride in the fact that an alum of theirs grew up to become a Super Bowl-winning head coach isn't anything out of the ordinary to me.

The university thanks Roethlisberger for taking his name out of consideration early in his career.
