Re: Browns cutting DQwell Jackson
Titans would be a perfect fit with him playing behind Casey, Klug and others

Re: Browns cutting DQwell Jackson
D'Qwell would be solid pickup. Whatever weaknesses he had would be masked by our improved defense from this past year.
I hope he's more intrigue with the prospect of playing in his hometown. If anyone's going to know D'Qwell it's our front office since we've been lining up against him twice a year for the last 8 years, minus the ones where he was on injured reserve.

Re: Browns cutting DQwell Jackson
I wouldnt be upset if we brought him in but i dont think thats the FOs direction. Smith is our goal to be the leader. Brown, Bynes, maybe R McClain and likely a rookie are the depth/future. J McClain is the steady guy that can be parted with whenever one those other guys step up fully. If youre assuming Jackson takes over McClains position as interim, I dont think you realize how much this staff likes him and really thats the only role I see open for him. Im sure they dont see it as a "need".
Now if Smith doesnt re-sign... theres certainly a need there.-JAB

Re: Browns cutting DQwell Jackson
I may be wrong, I dont watch a lot of Browns games, but Jackson had a big step back this past year, at first glance it appears to be the "well of course its cleveland"
I was under the impression the Clevelands D line was very solid, if this is so why would we want a player trending down?
Of course i could be way off on what i remember from clevelands line

Re: Browns cutting DQwell Jackson
Thats why i wouldnt want him to necessarily be a solution to anything. The only reason I say if Smith leaves, is because Jackson on a downward trend is still likely better than McClain (maybe not in the FO eyes). Youd hope he can rekindle some past ability in a new atmosphere. If Smith doesnt re-sign were going to have to replace his knowledge and ability and theres not a whole lot better than jackson on the market, imo. Dansby, maybe perry riley, but beyond that a bunch of 2 down guys with injury issues.
