Someome of the SB stats
Thought it would be interesting to sneak a peek at the game stats (from nfl.com). Obviously the upfront disclaimer/caveat -- numbers don't tell the whole story. But a couple things stood out -
> Denver had 27(!) yards rushing on 14 carries!!! I think that tells how badly they had to rely on what turned out to be an obviously shaky passing game.
> Total net yards was 341 Sea to 306 Den. I think that speaks to how good/poor the starting field position was for most of the night for Sea/Den.
> Seahawks had 10 penalties for 104 yds, Broncos 5 for 44. IMO, speaks to how dominant Seattle was all evening.
There are other numbers, but those were some of the things that may explain what happened.

Re: Someome of the SB stats
The numbers tell part of the story but Seattle was more physical team. A much of players no one else wanted. That scary bc Harb looks for the opposite and thats the main reason the ravens was not feared like in previous years. Its ok to have college captains and good character guys but you have to have the right mixture of both. Example Burflits, I know the other teams past on him too but he would have been a great fit for us especially when we was thin at lb. You need guys like that on your team

Re: Someome of the SB stats
It was almost 4 - 0. One of my favorite plays was when Holliday fumbles the ball on the kickoff and Steve Hauschka gets the recovery. Too bad Holliday's knee was down. Now that would have been a turnover for the ages. Nothing like a Kicker diving for a fumble and winning it.
