Report: Seahawks Won't Sell Playoff Tix to Anyone in CA
That's one way to preserve the 12th man advantage ....
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-sh...7173--nfl.html
Seattle Seahawks fans are proud of their "12th Man" legacy. The team even retired No. 12 for the fans.
The organization is just not ready for a 13th man supporting another team in their stadium.
Seattle will host the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC championship game on Sunday. Apparently, the Seahawks are willing to do whatever it takes to solidify home-field advantage.
According to SFGate.com, the Seahawks are limiting ticket sales to just six states and the Canadian provinces for the upcoming playoff game. Only credit cards with addresses from Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Alaska and Hawaii will be allowed to buy tickets for the game at CenturyLink Field.
Yes, California is among the states excluded from the list.

I wouldn't have thought a franchise would be allowed to have that kind of restriction.

If true then I'm changing my mind. I was rooting for Seattle but now I hope San Fran kicks the ever-living crap out if them - if true of course.

Well, there is a certain number of tickets given to SF to sell to their fans, so there will be at least SOME San Fran fans there.
But wow, this is just hilarious. I had been saying Seattle was the least douchey team in the playoffs, but this changes it.
Go....2014 NFL season?.

Yea and the Broncos are doing it too. I heard on the radio this morning that theyre only selling tickets within the Mountain states.
They hate us..... but they want to BE us. (.... or at least poach all our players/coaches/FO people!) :respect

Re: Report: Seahawks Won't Sell Playoff Tix to Anyone in CA
Why would we need to? There's never more than a few thousand available once the season-ticket holders get their shot, and Ravens fans seem to do a pretty good job of snatching those up pretty quick.
If opposing fans make up 1500-2K of those in attendance (a whopping 2-3%), that's hardly a problem that needs solving. And certainly not worth the negative impression it would leave that we somehow need to take extraordinary measures to protect our "home-field advantage"
