Re: Why didn't any report ask about Jim Caldwell?

Anyone else think they're waiting around for someone?

I can't help but think that the Browns are reluctant to let Norv go for a reason...

Re: Why didn't any report ask about Jim Caldwell?

Reading between the lines of Bisciotti's interview with Preston, it sounds like they're ready to move on from Caldwell. The fact that he didn't take the opportunity to offer any sort of endorsement of Caldwell as a coach and instead basically said that the only reason they haven't made a decision is because they're waiting to see if someone else makes the decision for them (ie. they're waiting to see if he gets a HC job)... it's very telling IMO.

I'm just glad that Moeller is going to LSU. Moller + Castillo + Caldwell was a bad combo.

Hopefully Caldwell follows along and goes elsewhere...

Just appears to me the team is going to give him another shot.
I think you're right about him being back, I just don't think it will be as OC. IMO they are hoping he gets a HC job somewhere. If not I think they offer him the QB coach job that he had last year, and then bring in a new OC. If this were to play out then they must have an OC in mind, one who they have a high degree of confidence they can land.

Not sure what to think about Caldwell "feeling good" about all of his interviews. Maybe TN will work out for him

You know...as time goes on...Jim Hostler seems to be their guy.

    I hate that.

I think it would be a huge mistake to promote Hostler. There would be next to zero change to the bland scheme that we run. Harbaugh needs to stop with all this consvertive gameplan stuff and get someone like Norv to have complete controll of the play calling.
