Re: Ravens sogn RB Cierre Woods

He'll compete for the third running back spot, and I strongly feel he will be given a huge opportunity to make the team. With how crappy our running game was this year, however, I wouldn't be surprised to see numerous candidates in camp for that third spot, via the draft and UDFAs.

One thing I know a lot of scouts raved about with him is speed. For a bigger back (6' 215lbs) he has an extra gear that is pretty outstanding.

Drafts plans are changing because they sign a free agent in January

Probably someone they really liked during the 2013 process.
Couldn't get him then, but even with his prior misstep, the FO certainly considers this low risk.
    Way low.

Maybe. Did the bears draft plans change after signing cutler? I'm sure they did.

Cutler had a little bit more of a NFL track record than this guy

Sure. But just because a move is made in January doesn't mean it doesn't have an impact. Regardless of stature.

From the videos, he looks like a strong north-south runner. Doesn't fool around, and gets his butt up the field.

Not to get all homerish because we signed him, but he looks to have great speed, excellent cutting ability and vision. A quicker, faster albeit less powerful version of LeGarrett Blount.

Let's hope the Strength and Conditioning coach does not get to him before he can prove himself. He'll turn him into the BigSlo.

Short of a proven NFL commodity, nobody signed at this point is going to alter our draft strategy.

That's like saying my neighbor bought a new furnace in January, I bought a replacement part for my furnace the same day, and neither of us is going to buy a furnace over the summer.
