Flacco could set personal yardage records today

He is at 3720 yards. His career high is 3817. So he would need 98 yards to set a new career high for yardage.

He needs 280 to hit 4000.

Hollow, but something to strive for I guess. He did that with a pretty busted up TE/WR corp, no running game and one of the worst OLs in the league.

Of course he also set a career high in INTs, which is kind of understandable given the circumstances, though I'd gladly trade hollow yardage for less INTs.

I think he'd take a win over any personal record.

Unlike other QBs, Joe has had very little YAC to inflate his yardage. Torrey is just 32nd highest with 359 YAC. Meanwhile a guy like Demaryius has 633 YAC.

Drew Brees has 166 completions to RBs, and got 1149 yards via YAC from Sproles and Pierre. All QB yards are not created equal.

Wow, he might register as a solid #2 QB in some deep fantasy football drafts.

Is there a list available somewhere which shows each QB's passing yards minus the YAC? I'd like to see how Flacco stacks up against the rest of the NFL in that capacity.

I don't know where you can find the totals. I always just use espn WR stats and sort by YAC.

In the past flacco benefitted from Rices YAC...not so much this year.

Well got to rally around flacco today fellas. He has had a less than stellar yr after we all thought he turned a corner in the playoffs last yr. He seems to play well with his back against the wall. Long gone are the days of Boller and Wright and we truly have a qb to get behind now.

If the Ravens' offense doesn't show up to play today, I think I'll yack.

Flacco already had a tough gig losing boldin and pitta. Throw in a shuffled, ineffective OL and nonexistent run game, and well, you see what can happen. On top of predictable, generic playcalling.

My takeaway from this year from a passing perspective is we had a UDFA WR that led the team in TDs.

I remember people use to complain about Flacco not reaching 4000 passing yards but now that he is close we may miss the playoffs. With the system the Ravens rus no wr would put up big numbers. It don't matter if they drafted a 6'5" wr yhat runs a 4.4 bc they don't use them correctly. I still believe that Thompson has the tools to be a great wr.
