    But....but.....but...passer rating!

Nothing against fantasy football, it's a fun little hobby, but it's called "fantasy" for a reason. The obsession over judging players in reality using fantasy stats is just naivety at its finest.

Let's say hypothetically a quarterback needy team has the opportunity to take either Joe Flacco or Tony Romo. My bet is when it all comes down to the end, the majority take Joe despite Romo having all the sexy fantasy stats.

We should come up with our own algorithm for quarterback measurements.

Money. I think they sank a ton of money into developing it and they're trying to get their money's worth.

    Still a horrible metric.

Of course. Joe is not "elite" but he is "clutch"

I hate the whole "elite" argument (and I mean I turnoff whatever is on when they start talking about it) but I actually kinda agree with that point. I wonder if it's not actually play-calling more than it is Joe in the other 3 quarters.

    Sounds vaguely familiar...

In Sunday's win, when Flacco had to put the Ravens in the lead twice, he barely said a word, which is comforting to those in the huddle with him...."He said, ‘Let’s go,’ and that’s the way he is. That’s the kind of guy you want to be in battle with," running back Ray Rice said.
Talk is cheap. Let's go play.

Man, Rice's comment is so much like Unitas it's scary but there's no wonder at least one poster ranks Joe 15-18th in QB rankings. Even Ray takes his shots at JOe on TV.

FATSO would never criticize an old teammate in public.

so he's saying that Flacco is pretty pedestrian for most of the game, then plays well at the end?
Does he also say the defense is pretty good most of the game and then pedestrian at the end?

    Should balance out :ww:

He must have missed the first half of the SB when Joe lit up the place with all those scores and yardage. No wonder the lights went out.

Remember, most people complain about Ravens/Flacco not getting nearly as much credit as they should, compared to how much credit/etc other teams and quarterbacks do.

Most people don't argue that Ravens/Flacco never get ANY credit.

So I'm not sure if the sarcasm works.

I'm on it! It's called SBQBR: Super Bowl Quarterback Rings

SBQBR = ((Number of Super Bowl Rings the QB has won)-0)/1

At the end of the day, it's all I care about.

Here's hoping Joe doubles his SBQBR this year!
