If that's all he said OK. But the other comments were better left unsaid.

When have you ever seen Calvin Johnson mouth off before or after the game?

He's as humble and nice a player as anyone in the league and unlike Joe he does not show a trace of arrogance.

BTW, I rarely see Peyton fist pump and yell and that's suppose to be Joe's idol.

If Peyton threw a fist pump he could damn well break a hip at this point.

    HE'S OLD.

What the hell are you going on about? Since when is Joe arrogant? I have seen Peyton fist pump and yell many times. Who cares if someone shows emotion and joy in the heat of a moment? Every QB does it.

Not the smartest thing to say for sure, but it won't make Johnson play any better on Monday night. If he has a big game it is because he is the best WR in the game, not because of some comment that a uninformed rookie made.

Yeah, but can't you see a thought bubble of him thinking "I'll show you OLD, junior". It's an ending waiting to be written.

First read post #11 and you'll understand my response.

Second IMO Joe is arrogant but who isn't at that position.

Third I've never seen Peyton fist pump and yell 'many times'. It's rare with him because he expects to make plays all the time.

Lastly I don't get the 'What the hell' and all that nonsense in addressing me. Since you choose to take that route I responded in a terse manner.

    Surprised no ones jumped in.

I agree, but I'm also on board with the idea that what's said before a game rarely actually has any effect on how the game is played. IMO, it shows that he's not very smart but it's not an issue.

My thought exactly. Rookie learning curve stuff.
