Re: Cap Situation for Next Year
Bushrod got 7m a year. He had a pro bowl season in New Orleans. Not sure if Monroe is more highly regarded or not. Bushrod was like by some and not so much by others on this board last year. I am guessing that Monroe will command in the 6.5m to 7.5m per year range. The LT market did not explode last year. There was no bidding war for Long and no one wanted to trade for the Chiefs Albert who will also be a free agent this year. Jake Long got 9m a year and was very highly rated but had injury concerns. It was widely regarded as over paying by the Rams.
The real question is Suggs. There is just no market for 32 year old DE/OLBs. Nothing more than a 1 or 2 year deal. With the Ravens he can could probably get a 2 year deal at about 4.5m per year which is the high end of the going rate for guys his age and ability. His play tailed off dramatically this year. The question is whether he is willing to accept a deal like Dumervil did with Denver or whether he wants to hit free agency and probably end up with less.

Re: Cap Situation for Next Year
Don't be too scared. Suggs and Ngata both have huge cap numbers currently that will come down (or go away.) Ray Rice and Marshall Yanda are also candidates for release/extension in 2015 which will lower or eliminate their cap numbers.
The sad part is facing life without those cornerstone players, but the FO has shown the ability -- and the cojones -- to do what needs to be done."Chin up, chest out."
