Haven't you ever seen the wishbone formation or the wing t?

Thank you. Ray Rice, since he has been a starter, has averaged 1,876 combined yards, rushing and receiving per season. I will bet you Bobby Rainey never gets to Ray Rice's AVERAGE in his NFL career. Hell, I'll make it 1,500. Anyone? Any takers?

Hey, while we're doing this, can someone dig up an old thread about how bad the FO messed up in letting Derek Anderson go?

You don't think the formations the team is actually running is relevant?

Not really. Not in this thread.

Thompson has what...maybe 15 snaps this year? Yes, they could use him on the field in multi receiver sets, but they really aren't.

Who is to say that they couldn't have gotten Rainey and Rice on the field at the same time? I realize that is highly unlikely, but it isn't like that is totally outlandish. It's not like it hasn't been done before.

My main point was that saying because Rice and Rainey are similar doesn't mean that keeping him would have been a detriment.

Has Ryan Jensen seen the field at all? Seems like they could have sent him to IR and kept Rainey, which may have been more useful.

I just think this thread seems like a tad bit reactionary to the guy having a great game against a shit D. Shit, next week Rainey will probably break his foot and go on IR along with Doug Martin and Mike James.

Nah, he'll break Rice's all time rushing yardage.

    If Thompson isn't injured.

Again with the reverse hyperbole. NO ONE is saying he's the next Barry Sanders. What some of us ARE saying is that HE'S BETTER THAN ANYONE THE RAVENS HAVE BROUGHT IN TO BE A BACKUP. And he was already ON the team.

He had a great game. There is no way to know if he would be successful behind this line other than pure speculation. But I wish him well.
