Re: LOL - The real reason Ed Reed was cut?
That's the first thing I thought of when I heard this in the car. Can't say I'm surprised. I figured if anyone was interested it would be Rex.
On the plus side, won't have to read more threads and posts imploring us to sign Ed. On the down side, expect more posts citing failure to bring him back as the reason for any future struggles.

Something tells me Ed Reed threads will continue to sustain momentum as we get further along into the season.
I see him getting cut then snatched up by Bilechick.

Well played, Cap! :D
Both of them pick-$ix-figure$, no doubt. Talk about taking it to the (counting) house...
I think Ed just wants to see the inside of the Vault again & get s'more luuuuuv from a Crow crowd. (And maybe a third time if the released-by-Jets-signed-by-Pats scenario plays out...)

Re: LOL - The real reason Ed Reed was cut?
As long as it is not the Steelers I have no problems. Steelers HC-FO is hopefully to much like our own HC-FO.
Troy-Ed for a game I would love to see, hate to see.. Anyhow not the Steelers.

NFL Network showed him practicing with the team already. Looks weird in green.
He'll be coming back next week and then Rexy boy will cut him-l0l.Last edited by AirFlacco; 11-14-2013 at 04:36 PM.

Re: Reed Signs with the Jets
That's about as good a spot as Ed Reed was going to find. I'm still a big Reed fan and hope he plays well except when it's against us.

Re: Reed Signs with the Jets
We thought Houston was the final nail in the coffin. Now, if he doesn't perform well enough with Rex, THAT will be the final nail in the coffin.
Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if the Jets go on a losing streak and Ed starts mouthing off again.
Mason did the same stuff when he went to New York. They were losing, he wasn't getting passes his way, he started mouthing off and was used as a scapegoat for some of the issues they had going on at the time."Please take with you this final sword, The Excellector. I am praying that your journey will be guided by the light", Leon Shore

Re: Reed Signs with the Jets
ILMAO - Here's the comments on the Gang Green board and they're excited. They must not have been watching him in Houston.
One says I'm stoked. LOL
Another says maybe he'll bring Ray in to join him. LOL.
I think that was a joke.
Best signing since Ronnie Lott. LOL
Another says he'll get us more turnovers. LOL
He definitely missed his last game here when he did nothing.
Another says we're getting a future HOFer. LOL
HARBS was right about one thing. He's done and nobody knows
it in NY.

Re: Reed Signs with the Jets
He's replacing a pretty bad Safety in Antonio Allen. Reed barely played in Houston so I'm not sure what he can and can't do but I can understand the fan excitement. I just didn't want Reed to come here. I have so many great memories of him in purple that I didn't want to see it really fall apart. It was hard enough reading all the negativity about Ed and Ray last year.
