That's what I was thinking of! IIRC it pointed me to Ron Paul. So, I guess that makes me a Libertarian as well. I always thought of myself as a moderate conservative; if on a line chart 0 was the far left and 10 was the far right, I'd probably be sitting on 6.

on that same scale i always considered myself a 4. I also was recommended Ron Paul and Gary Johnston. I typically do one of those every election. some have been pretty close once i look into them more, some were a little off, but mostly because of how heavily the questions are weighted. There was one i did that was pretty accurate that allowed you to weigh the importance yourself, so somebody that doesnt want social issues to be prioritized could make them minimal. Most arent up to date unless there is an election from what i found and you still have to look into whether the person actually believes what theyre saying. Still politicians at the end of the day.

In that case we'd probably get something done in DC unlike our current "partisan only" politicians! ;)

On that same political scale, depending how it is weighted of course, Most Democratic Politicians vary between 8-11, while Republicans would vary from 4-9... lol.

If the scale were more socially biased then my preferred economically biased, then it would be more like D 8-11, R 0-7, yes on a scale of 1-10.

dont like people telling you how to live at all or how to spend your money... libertarian would be the way to go. co-signing for either party under those pretenses seems hypocritical.
Republicans haven't passed a bill saying how big of a coke I can buy. They haven't passed a law saying how much insurance I have to buy. I can't think of how republicans are telling me how to live my life.

I vote libertarian, but if push comes to shove I'll take the lesser of two evils and that's the republican party.

    Truth.

And here in Texas, I'll vote for a Dem too if they did the right things. Texas Democrats usually are cut from a different cloth than national Dems.

I've voted for Schaeffer and Glendenning twice. How many liberals
    vote for GOPs twice?

Glendenning was the only politician I know who kept his promise and
got me a football team and I rewarded him with my vote the second
time. His GOP opponent, Sauerbry was gonna take the stadium money out and spend it. She didn't care about a football team. It was a close election and my vote made a difference.

I'd for for Schaeffer a hundred times but I never voted DEM on the national level and I loved the tax breaks JFK gave us and he tried to do away with the Federal Reserve Bank and was shot. He also tried to keep us out of Vietnam. I was too young to vote for him but would have.

Nixon was my first election and he betrayed us and bringing China into the fold has bit us in the ass. They own us. He betrayed us with Watergate too thinking he was above the law. Nixon also escalated Vietnam and interfered with LBJ's attemp to bring N. Vietnam to the peace table. LBJ has tapes of his conversation and turned them over to Humphry who didn't use them because he was ahead in the polls but lost in a close election.

On the flip side, bringing China in led to the end of the Cold War. It led
to the Salt agreements with Russia who had two great enemies to deal with and that led to the chain events ending the Cold War but he gave up Taiwan's seat in the UNs security council to do it.

Last time we elected a democrat in Alabama he stood at the door of Alabama University. No thanks to ever voting for a dem.

Special exemptions is cronyism. Obamacare is a huge scam. Obama just will find any way to kick back money to his constituents, rather disgusting way of doing politics. Welcome to socialism and the perpetual political purchasing of votes and ignoring the other half of the country.
