There was no squib.

Tucker was interviewed after the game and he said he slipped.

That makes me feel better about the coaching decisions but the execution still sucks.

The squib kick was the dumber of the two. Kick it out of the end zone and make them go further. I don't understand that at all. I don't even know what reasoning they would use to try to justify that decision, unless it was just a poor kick by Tucker, which I guess is possible given the shot he took on the slightly less moronic onside kick decision.

True dat. I've read 2 theories on this board:1. as, you say he was still seeing stars from the onsides kick (btw OP- and you are one of my faves even before your Super Bowl photo essay - IMO the onsides call was OK, just don't do it unless you can execute). 2. Tucker slipped on the notoriously shitty turf of Heinzy Hole Field.

But yeah, I was screaming at the TV on that one.

And there are some brighter spots in ST among all the turds: Tucker hits his FGs and Doss & Jacoby are doing decent on returns.
