Doesn't excuse his play, but his potential has to be taken into consideration
He was a 2nd round pick and started every game his rookie year and played very well.

You don't cut those types of players.

The way the Texans are falling apart Kubak probably will be fired and he was a pretty good OC once. Caldwell might be looking over his shoulder at him sooner rather than later!
Ozzie drafted Wagner as a prospect if Oher bolts knowing he won't
be able to pay him. Wagner was a top lineman coming out but was
injured and dropped in the draft. He sprung Rice on his TD run standing up in Miami.

Ozzie especially doesn't cut those type of players. Doesn't mean that Harbaugh won't bench him but KO will be on this team through his rookie contract.

    I agree Trap.

I think Wagner will be given every opportunity to win the RT job next year.

    Absolutely.

KO specifically is why I think there is more going on than we know. This was a guy who played pretty damn well at RT and was arguably our best lineman in several games when he dropped down to LG.

Now all of a sudden he can't play? Hurt or not, there is something else going on and it isn't just Gino's issues.

    Thanks.

Ozzie always plans like years ahead.

As long as we're in a frenzy of playing Future Fantasy Football:

KEEP: Monroe, KO, Jensen, Yanda, Wagner. And that COULD be the line, from LT to RT.

KO is too young, too high a draft choice, and has shown too much potential not to keep. Wagner has shown more than enough for a 5th round rookie; Jensen seems to have shown the coaches a lot than no one else has seen. Yanda and Monroe have shown too much not to keep if at all possible.

Don't like the calls to spend some top 3 choices on O line -- need help at TE, CB, possibly WR, O line depth, and possibly RB. (I love the Paul Brown philosophy -- build your team starting with O line -- but I don't see us being able to do much next year.)
