IMO If he fires Shanny and then tries to screw him out of his contractual payout, he is going to have a tough time getting a legit coach to come in there. Money aside, he's still going to have a tough time unless he breaks the bank.

not looking good for Garret in Dallas after MNF flop against Bears and their backup qb. (who may be better than many starters, where has he been the last few years?)
Falcons lose again (also to a backup qb); any word on Smith's status?
(after we hire Kubiak as OffCor and Munchak as OL coach, Smith can be DefCor?)

McCown has always been a decent player, but his performance is all Trestman and the offensive design.

I would add, mostly Cowboys horrible defense that never changed scheme the whole game. They made it way to easy

Shanny starting Cousins this week instead of RGIII.
burning his bridges, or trying to save his job?
it'll be fun there if Cousins leads them to some wins. next three games are @ Falcons, host Cowboys, @ Giants. all winnable games.

hard to see Garrett staying in Dallas after yesterday. blowing a 23 point halftime lead at home? their D gave up 5 tds in 5 drives and the Fox announcers were screaming at them to run the ball instead of so many passes. Harbaugh doesn't have a reputation an elite coach but I can't imagine him letting that happen.
Giants shut out at home. Coughlin should go.
the soap opera continues in DC. it's nice to be a Ravens fan eh?

I live in TN and get to see these Titan fans with no hope year after year. Ravens may have their problems but we are so lucky to have a consistently good product as opposed to the opposite.

Man, their might be over a half dozen coaches out.

    Kubiak is already gone.
    Munchak is a possibility
    Rex Ryan
    Jason Garrett
    Mike Shanahan
    Tom Coughlin
    Jim Schwartz
    Leslie Frazier
    Greg Schiano
Mike Smith isn't even out of the clear.

Don Banks (Sports Illus) speculates Schwartz and/or Garrett gone if they don't make the playoffs. both are still eligible.
Doesn't look good for Munchak esp wi new ownership.
I think Rex is safe for another year.
Shanny? I think he wants out, but Cousins might save him. how's this for a scenario; Shanny takes new job (Jets?) and trades for Cousins.
as mentioned, Coughlin should go, but apparently NYGee mgt will not force him out, so he might get one more year. at his age I wonder why he wants to stay.
Frazier's Vikings are rebounding and might save his job (Cassell > Ponder).
Schiano? I'm surprised the didn't fire him already.
Nobody in Atlanta is talking so who knows. It's one thing to collapse from QB injury, but Falcons' excuse?

dang, that's a long list, but no doubt we'll see a lot of turnover.

I don't think Frazier should be fired. I think the GM should find him a damn quarterback.

Mike Smith might be saved by his recent success, but only one playoff win may also work against him.

Coughlin or Smith are not going to be fired.

Their respective GM's / owners know that there are always going to be down years. They're not reactionaries.

Only way Coughlin goes if he goes out on his own terms.
