Joe just might be toughest dude in NFL
He never misses a game. Never or seldom gets hurt.
Today he took shot after shot including what would have
been a career ending hit on his knee for most QBs and still gets back up.
He also has the second longest run from scrimmage for the season
according to the radio after the game.
He played his guts out. He reminded me of Unitas' toughness so much.
Forget the pick 6 - and how Doss had to change his
route to come back on Joe's pass which was a great move
on Doss' part. Joe was under pressure.
My only question is why the hell doesn't he throw the
ball out of bounds when he's being chased instead of taking the
sack?
I have to look at the film but was that hit on his knee deliberate?

I see so many other QBs do that but not him.
That's elementry quarter backing.

At the end of his career, Baltimore will have 2 QBs that represented us well. Flacco and Unitas are blue collar QBs who did the best they could with what they had to work with.

Re: Joe just might be toughest dude in NFL
We criticize him for that at times, but recall in the SB, Joe was flushed from the pocket on 3rd and 7 and looked like he was throwing it out of bounds after a few seconds and almost getting sacked....
It was caught by Boldin for a 30 yard gain. AMAZING play nobody saw coming. THAT is why he refuses to throw it away..

Great point on what he has to work with.
Look at what Ryan and Manning have. Hell, Manning beat up Dallas
last time I looked in the first half.
Joe has a young Torrey Smith who is just emerging into greatness
and absolutely no TEs. None, zero, nada, nothing, zip.
Joe was under pressure on the throw to KJ who was covered but
got his hand on the ball. It was just a little beyond him but Joe
was under pressure.

He absolutely is.
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HDAlthough Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Re: Joe just might be toughest dude in NFL
Joe is one tough QB. He has 97 consecutive starts. He hasn't missed a start, EVER. He has a way to go to have the most. Brett Favre leads that category with 321. Eli Manning leads all active QBs' with 150.

I am concerned though. If he keeps taking shots like he has through the first 5 games, sooner or later our biggest fear is going to happen."I don't know a man on this Earth who can outwork me". Ray Lewis

Good point but Farve and Manning both had better protection than Joe.
Manning was wiping up Dallas in first half.
