On the bright side, Torrey Smith is kicking butt!!

With Ed Reed gone, Torrey is now my favorite Raven. I wear his jersey on Sundays. I have also been watching his numbers closely as the season progresses. Right now, Torrey is #2 in the NFL in receiving yards (behind Julio Jones). He is also the only one in the top 30 to average more than 20 yards per catch. I am so happy for this guy - this kind of success couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

He may not stay at the top of the list, but it's great to see him there and great to see a Raven there.

Smith is one helluva receiver. The Bengals would love to have him.

He's definitely proven he's good enough to take on the role as #1 receiver and then some. He'll only keep getting better from here.

If the team can get Marlon Brown + Deonte Thompson to continue to develop into real NFL wideouts and compliments to Torrey, we will be very happy.

Torrey's only down side - I think he has lost part of a step from last year

Getting tackled from behind on the 74 yard completion before he could take it to the house.

Don't know if I agree with that. I mean, the dude is fast but he's bound to run into a DB faster than he is once every few years....

You're also always slower running with the ball than without.

That was just a great TD saving tackle.

That actually happens a lot after players reach out and grab the ball on long completions. Slows them down a little bit. Tackles like that happen all the time.
