He needs protection and he needs a running game. He's not a guy who can create plays with his legs or make no name receivers look great; there aren't many of those QBs.

Get the running game back in to the gameplan even if it's barely effective. At some point they'll break one and it also keeps the D from pinning their ears back.

He is doing pretty well with a UDFA.

Smith, Brown, Stokley ....

Smith of course. Brown is coming but not there yet. Stokley is slow and a shell of what he was 5 years ago. Same for Clark. Doing better lately but still has the dropsies. Need I say anything about Dixon? Minus Smith this receiving core is made up of unproven rookies, has beens, and never will be's.

And I'm still saying that. "Trusted" may not be the best choice of words so let's just say that he has one "proven" receiver (Smith) in his arsenal. Brown will be added to that list by mid season, I believe.
