That was the best plan out of the 5 I received. Didn't get 50.

thats probably the problem. Not sure if thats because of the pre-existing limiting you or the state youre in not having enough insurers to choose from. I certainly had some extremely high ones without pre-existing myself but at least i had enough to choose from that i could find 2-3 that were decent premiums and somewhat lower deductibles.

    It's because of Ted Cruz.

How did they know you had a pre-existing condition and why did that matter? I dont remember it asking me for any information on medical conditions, which its not suppose to.

Starting in 2014, being sick won't keep you from getting health coverage. An insurance company can't turn you down or charge you more because of your condition.
still confused as to why you had only 5 options when I had 50 considering that any condition shouldnt have been the issue. It almost has to be a state thing at that point I would think.

They don't know I have two pre existing conditions. I made that comment to show I'd have medication I must pay for that is not covered until I meet the huge deductible. Right now, I pay a fraction of it with no deductible.

    Yes, only 5 options.

    ok, gotcha.

I just look at my results and see a few that are much much better than that. I think I have 5 options from 303-320/ month with 0 deductible and out of pocket under 2500 alone. I do have those 4-6K plans and even higher but theyre the minority. Whatever is driving that lack of options needs to be addressed.
