Steelers trade for Levi Brown

really don't think this had much to do with the Ravens trade. When you have the worst tackle in the league pretty much anything you do is an upgrade and quite often increased competition will spur performance.

kind of symbolic of how far weve come as organizations... we trade for one of the better LTs in the league while they trade for one thats not much, if any, better than the one they already have thats horrible.

Steeler boards are in full "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" mode about this trade. They're also saying that Cards fans are quite happy about it.

And they're extremely pissed that Ozzie got a much better player.

Very possible. Perhaps Steelers wanted Monroe but we outbid them. We have two games with Steelers that we need to win. Steelers lack talent all over and Dont have a 3rd round pick next year. Could of been a block move also by Ozzie. Pittsburg to get Monroe would mean they Wouldnt have a 3rd,4th or 5th rounder for a talent strapped team.

I think you are right. Brown this year is get this more expensive then Monroe. Brown counts 3.6 million against cap this year to the Steelers for a conditional rental. Ozzie blocked the Steelers. Ozzie plays Chess and Colbert checkers.
