    Steelers trade for Levi Brown

Brown has been underachieving for the majority of his career but he'll probably buy Roethlisberger an extra milli-second of time.

Now it will be really interesting to hear what they gave up for him in comparison to what we paid.

Any guesses they gave a 4th?

By underachieving I take it you mean stinking up the joint? He's routinely been one of the worst starting tackles in the NFL.

Could this be somewhat related to the Ravens acquiring Monroe?

It's more related to Arians being the head coach in Arizona

according to PFF they went from the 68th and dead last rated tackle (Adams) to the 60th (Brown).

I think so. It's becoming a little bit more apparent that Monroe was available and the ravens may have beaten the Steelers to the punch.

Again I could be wrong but it appears as if Pitt took the consolation prize.

I'd guess 6th or 7th. This trade makes very little sense for the Steelers. I'd have been surprised to see them take him for free.

really don't think this had much to do with the Ravens trade. When you have the worst tackle in the league pretty much anything you do is an upgrade and quite often increased competition will spur performance.

kind of symbolic of how far weve come as organizations... we trade for one of the better LTs in the league while they trade for one thats not much, if any, better than the one they already have thats horrible.
