I think it it was back in July or August on the Ravens site, that the story of Ray being an ESPN announcer was being reported. I do remember in it, it said that he was taking speech lessions before he even went on air. If that is the case, he might have been worse than what we seen day 1 of braodcasting.
I honestly think he's doing fine really. Sure he's not an eloquent speaker. Unless your taught and trained to be that way, your going to speak what's most comfortable for you. Of course Ray is going to have urban diologue. It's who he is, and we all loved him for it.
There is a time and place for both types of speaking, and being on national TV and not speaking coherently is going to be a bit messy in the executives eyes. I think Ray is in a tough spot really, and just like his football determination, he's doing bradcasting speaking from the heart with a little help from someone behind the scenes.
