    Shadowbox / Man Cave Ideas

    I am finally getting around to framing some stuff from the Superbowl.

    Can those who have framed jersey, tickets, etc post some pics? I'd like to get some ideas for my man cave.

    I am framing my old Reed and Ray jersey's, my tickets to the game, the official pin and the front pages of both The Sun and the NOLA Times Picayune.

    Thanks!

    Feel like shit tonight, but I'll try see if I can tomorrow. Probably worth it to have it done professionally, but then again, I didn't pay. :D

    I have the program and tickets framed with some purple and gold beads out-lining them. I will see if I can find a pic.

    It's my first one so forgive the amateurish-ness...

    My Ray Lewis jersey that was worn all season, and to the SB, then retired;
    My SB ticket and lanyard;
    My new pin thanks to Steve Bisciotti;
    Game program;
    Sports Illustrated magazine SB edition;
    and my pic with Harbs taken a couple months after the game.

    I never thought about hanging the ticket from my lanyard in the frame. I think I'm stealing that idea. I was just going to have them mat it down.

    Thanks CY!

    If you're intending to frame the actual front pages from those papers (& not a reprint on better paper) I'd suggest consulting someone who does it for a living. The crappy paper & ink the rags use these days are literally designed to disintegrate quickly (for easier recycling) & unless there is some way to stabilize them the display will look like crap in short order.

    IMO you'd be better off buying reprints of those pages on more stable paper & having them framed instead.

    Definitely going to a professional shop in Houston. Their web site specifically mentions they will do news print and show examples of such.

    Good advice though!

    I have framed team photos of all of Baltimore's championship teams hanging in my cave. '58/'59/'70 colts, '00/'12 ravens, 1896/1897/'66/'70/'83 O's, '02 terps, '51/'53 terps FB. I love walking in there and seeing the pictures of all those teams. Also have framed 8x10's of all of bmore's HOF's including babe Ruth in orioles uniform.

    When did you get the pin?

    Is this the pin that somebody else was talking about that got sent out to PSL holders that I haven't seen yet in my mailbox?

    Thanks!
    Wish i had the tickets (and experience) to go with mine, but I plan on doing the same with my Ed and Ray jerseys.

    You guys make your own boxes or purchase them somewhere?
