    Sad isn't it?
Doss had a TD after the HOU game was out of hand, and a nice laid-out grab vs. DEN IIRC.
    That's about it...including PSGs, I'm pretty sure.

Its tough to put Mellette in PS or "IR" now. He is better receiver next to Torrey.

Mellette needs to be moved above some of these other guys at WR.

I'll be honest here, I have been from the jump one of the biggest pessimists regarding the ability of one of these young guys to "step up".

Yet even I didn't think they'd look this helpless. Quan gets a bit of a pass for being able to beat up on the future beer truck drivers down in Tampa, but these other guys other than Mellete have been pitiful.

Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

    RE: Doss

I think the real lesson here is Flacco would not make a good GM unless he's playing Millen in a movie.

I don't think Mellette could realistically make it into the top 3 WR conversation, but that's pretty set in stone as Torrey-Jacoby-Stokley at this point. Mellette is part of the competition with Thompson, Doss, Williams, and Reed for the 4th, 5th, and 6th (if applicable) spots. Thompson is a lock if he gets healthy soon, and at least one of Williams and Reed will make it. So IMO Mellette could easily push Doss off the roster at this point.

Well, who are these young WRs we've hoped for?
    Laquan: UDFA
    Deonte: UDFA
    Doss: 4th round
    Reed 5th (?) round
    Streeter: 6th round

You buy hamburg, you get hamburg -- not filet mignon. We have a Dom Perignon QB and a bunch of Budweiser WRs

Damn. Brandon Williams is agile as hell. Nice job out on that screen.

Sandusky just said that Ravens have 132 yards between Torrey's an Mellette's TDs,
only 89 yards for rest of entire game or something like that.

Asa Jackson can really play, if only he could stop getting suspended.
