I know ATL has some studs on O, but damn that was an ugly drive by our D

JO's just said the exact same thing I was thinking: Jimmy Smith totally allowed Julio Jones an inside release on that play. Either he was expecting inside help and somebody else screwed up, or he just has no idea what he's doing out there.

Judging by how he reacted I would guess the latter. All the talent in the world but the kid just doesn't seem to have any football IQ at all.

Jimmy Smith has always gotten more credit than he seems to have done impressive things on the field. Just saying.

Jimmy Smith has been disappointing I thought he'd develop into an Antonio Cromartie type player

Yeah, I can't be mad...I LOVE Julio Jones...when he becomes the focus of the Falcons passing game, he's going to put up insane numbers.

Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

There aren't many people in this league that can keep Julio in check, I would't read too much into it

Plus with Jackson running like that it opens things up.
