He's basing this purely off of the Dallas Clark signing. He has no inside info here.

That's how I read it too, pure speculation based off of the Clark signing. Nothing to see here.

It's far too early to make that definitive call but it would not surprise me even though John Harbaugh confidently stated the day after it happened that he would play on Opening Night.

He was jogging lightly on the sidelines today.

I would sit him, we have 10 days until the next game and enough depth at TE to get us though the DEN game without risk of any set back. Rather sit him longer and be healthy all season than have this lingering. clark and Schione will be enough vs DEN but I won't bet on Dickson sitting. He may not play the whole game, he will probably split snaps then be full go for CLE but you never know with Clark, he may start if we have our 1 TE formation.

Coupled with Pitta's possible return later this season, plus adding the two vets + rookie to the mix, our TE roster staffing may be somewhat chaotic this Fall.
