Arthur Brown hasn't been noticeable, but he washout there with the first team nickel.

Omar Brown was a scratch tonight.

Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

the broadcast team really loves Cody. They seem to think he had a very good game. I didn't see that at all.

I have no problem making a charity bet on this, with a stipulation. Bet is on if he doesn't catch more than 15 passes in the preseason. I think that's a fair number. If he makes the team then, I'll donate $25 to whatever you want. If he catches MORE than that, no bet because I'll agree he's making the team then. This whole bet would hinge on the fact that you seem to think he's making the team even if he doesn't make plays in the preseason, whereas I think he's got to make some plays to stick. Up to you.

Hamilton having himself a night too.

Marlon Brown has not. No bad plays, but hasn't taken advantage of his targets.
