Perspective... First preseason game. Vanilla gameplan.

It would have been nice to have something positive to build off of, especially even one catch by the receivers trying to prove we are not in trouble at that position.

They had a nice first defensive series. Not so good the rest of the first quarter, offensively or defensively. Daryl Smith looks good, and the defensive line looks to be as good as advertised. Not liking much else of what I'm seeing.

Offense not sharp at all. Penalties in particular have killed momentum. But I'd pull the starters now if I were coach.

The main goal is no injuries. Then watch some of the rookies and position battles, beyond that its an exhibition game

The preseason isn't about known starters. Coaches are mainly looking at the players that aren't locks.
