I have no problem with this as all they can go is up in regards to making the PB appealing to fans.

    Re: Pro bowl

It stopped being pro-bowl a good while ago.
Played before the SB (Meadowlands Feb 2 2014), means that players from the SB teams are not in the game, and probably missing those who lost in the conference championships also.
That is at least 4 teams, possibly 8.... 1/8 to 1/4 of the league eliminated from being probowlers, and these are (supposidly) the teams with the better records/bwetter players.

Pro-bowl is a $$mockery$$, sure, let talking heads conduct a draft, it is entertainment hype, it ain't football.

When it was 2 weeks after the SB, I'd watch it, if nothing more than to say goodbye to football until pre-season.
Before the SB? I rate it lower than a cancelled sit-com.

The fantasy draft part will seem like a good idea until JJ Watt wrecks Arian Foster's knee on a tackle.

So the NFL thought it was a good idea to copy the NHL?

Me neither but they want to do something and the previous format was old and stale. It will be interesting to see how this works out.

It needs to be a skills tournament instead of a game. Pitting guys of similar positions in a competition that would showcase their particular skill sets. Kind of like the old Superstars events.

Honestly it would be more fun to watch if they made the legitimate switch.

I agree, makes no sense to get anyone hurt. I don't watch it anyway.

3 million to make the original roster, 1 million cash for alternates who are forced to play. An extra two million cash for starters. An extra two million cash for being on the winning team and an extra five million cash for being the MVP.

They should just nix the pro bowl and do like college does.

Awards and then All American honors.

I think they should replace it with this.
