Eagles cut Danny Watkins. I remember he was a late 1st round pick just 2 years ago. New regimes has no problem dumping players that they didn't pick

He's guaranteed over a mil this year though. Meh.

I think it's probably just that Bell's injury is less serious. Dwyer wasn't very good and apparently didn't try very hard.

Also, they have Redman, Felix, and LaRod Stephens-Howling...

Canadian too. I trained with him one time when I was in BC. Real hard worker, but I guess just didn't have the skills

Castillo was in Philly when Watkins was drafted as a first round pick OG. He was the DC, not the OL coach, but was probably consulted before they drafted Watkins in the first round. I wonder if the Ravens might be interested in him as a back-up OG? If he passes through waivers, the terms of his original contract would be voided for the team that signed him.

    WAIVER question

I know we get last crack at claiming someone off waivers.

Assuming every other team has to at some point say nope?

    ANyone know how it works?

Is it a list to all and if you don't respond by a cut off time?

Just wondering if FO were to claim someone how long before we fans would be able to learn that we got him?

I'm assuming max of 24 hours after cut down expiration, but can it be sooner or do we just sit tight and wait?

I'd love the Ravens to pick up Danny Watkins for a back-up OG. He's got to be better than any of our back-up OGs. Of course, if Jensen doesn't go on IR, then I'm sure they'll pass on Watkins.

Teams have til Noon tomorrow to place waiver claims. I'm pretty sure it's just a process of emailing a certain league official with the claim. Once the deadline hits, then the team with the highest priority is awarded the player.

You answered him for me. Tannehill is starting to look like a good QB. His biggest physical problem is that he has small hands but that isn't necessarily a deal-killer.

Miami definitely got him some weapons. The big question will be whether his OL is good enough and whether the defense is good enough to put consistent pressure on "Hairweave" Brady!
