The dreaded "Gus Gramatica" celebration. You hate to see it, but you can't look away.
My motto was always to keep swinging. Whether I was in a slump or feeling badly or having trouble off the field, the only thing to do was keep swinging. -Hank Aaron

I'd say the Kolb injury in unbelievable but because it's Kolb it's completely believable. Some guys just don't have bodies made for this league and there is nothing they can do about it.

I think you mean Bill Gramatica? But yeah, celebrating a 1Q FG of a meaningless game and tearing the ACL....Gramatica, ladies and gentlemen!

My favorite dumb injury is still Brian Griese tripping over his dog. Close second is the punter for the Jaguars playing with an axe in the locker room and screwing up his leg.

I think he was intentionally bringing in Gus Frerotte for banging his head and spraining his neck and Bill Gramatica for blowing out his knee jumping for joy after a somewhat meaningless FG.

Well hell, it does rhyme with "Dramatica," dunnit?

Probably doesn't mean much to most but today is the first "game" of the NFL 2013 season and I'm pumped! As for tonight, I'm just interested in seeing Ellerbe with his new team and the rookie Dion Jordan along with Mike Wallace.

Is Dion Jordan going to play? They've been taking it real slow with that surgically repaired shoulder. I wouldn't be shocked if he sits this one out.

Yeah I'm pumped for the game because it's "real" NFL football. At least it signifies the start of the season.

OT - just saw that Johnny Football is under investigation... rut row

They did hold him out a bit in the beginning of training camp but from the little I've heard he's been a full participant in camp routinely beating the Dolphins starting (left) tackle.

Preseason games suck in general, but this HOF game is by far the worst abomination of a game for fans ever. Nobody every plays in these games and if they do, it's only for a single series no matter what the result is.

    Horrible.

    Yes I'm watching it lol.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.
