He's been popped once. So he's on the random test list.

I imagine it works much like other employers. They notify you and you have a certain time frame to submit the sample. Failure to do so means you failed.

If that's what happened with Von, it's more of a lock he's going to taking a four week unpaid vacation. At least with a sample given, you can argue its tainted.

This all sounds to me that he's looking for a technicality.

I thought you could believe anything if its on the internet.... went from testing positive to ecstacy to not taking the test at all.

Seems to me if he agrees to submit, and his test is clean, they may reduce or withdraw the suspension. Any examples of similar situations? I can't think of any

Chris Mortenson is saying Miller's suspension is going to be 6 games now.

I heard a reporter from the Denver paper last week. He said he knew the whole story but wouldn't repeat it due to privacy concerns. But his take was that there was no way the suspension would be reduced, if anything he's lucky if it stays at four games.

    That certainly helps us.

SXMNFL had a guy on not too ling ago from the Denver Post and he said his sources told him this is *not* because he missed / refused a drug test, the implication being he tested positive for something pretty serious.

I just wonder if the added news of being arrested for missing two court dates is considered here. Conduct detrimental to the league? Otherwise not sure why it would go from four to six.

I think there's something else he doesn't want want to be made public. The league has pretty much said they're not considering the traffic stuff and there's been all kinds of negotiating behind the scenes.

The last 6 game suspension I can recall was Big Jen for the rape ... err, "serving alcohol to someone underage" stuff. I am wondering if Von was caught with something more than just weed in his system. There are rumors he tested positive for both weed and E so maybe the combo increases his penalty.

And a random thought here ...

I wonder if he got caught trying to cheat the test and that's why they're tacking on more than the usual 4 games? Like using someones urine or a whiz-a-nator?

Does this mean that if he hadn't appealed, it would still only be 4? The appeal is making him endure a greater punishment? Interesting if I am right on that....
