I agree, the guy is a proven pass catcher. My biggest concern right now with him is getting him up to speed by the season opener and at 34 how much you want to play him. The age may prove to be nothing to be concerned about, can't wait to see him play.

Meh. He's not been reliable in his 4 years, one preseason isn't going to change my mind.

I'd love for nothing more for him to be the most expensive FA TE on the market next year, but he's not shown anything great yet.

It's hard to believe but it's only 18 days until the opener. 11 days of it for me will be on vacation. What happens this point forward is going to get more meaningful. The pieces need to come together before they roll into Denver and throw a beat down on the Broncos September 5th.

You know what, at the end of the day, this is how I feel as well. Even when I heard DeCosta say that Dickson was showing more confidence through his play this off-season, I was skeptical. I still am skeptical. With Clark, there are three things I know, so long as he is healthy. He will run a good route, he will catch the ball and the chains will move. I'm not so sure about that with Dickson.

Mellette keeps on making plays

Rookie receiver Aaron Mellette continued to get some work with the first-team offense. He had a strong showing early in practice with a touchdown pass in red-zone drills. Mellette ran by cornerback Chykie Brown on the play, and tracked down the perfectly-placed pass from quarterback Joe Flacco. Mellette did a great job running around Brown to make the grab in the back of the end zone.
