There's a lot of preparation involved with Dancing with the Stars. It wouldn't surprise me if it took away from his focus. I still wouldn't be upset with him. You only get to live once.

They usually only put guys on the NFI list for conditioning or injury outside of football and so far as I know there's been no report of him being hurt. Conditioning seems like a reach but I can think of another reason at this point.

If conditioning is the case, that's highly disappointing.
And *if* it's the case, I'm not surprised at all. It would be exactly what I was talking about months ago.

It could be, but have the vets even taken their conditioning test yet?

Jacoby Jones did have off season knee surgery prior to the dancing thing.

    Per Albert Breer ....

Jacoby Jones is on NFI because he failed the Ravens' conditioning test.

Weird for a player like Jones. I don't really know what it means. Just saw it on twitter

It is unfortunate, but early. He will be fine, but it says a lot about him though.....

Yeah I'm not really worried about it. Just for a guy as athletic as he is I just thought it was odd

Players who don't pass conditioning test usually go on PUP (see McKinnie last year). PUP is physically unable to perform, which can be injury or conditioning.

NFI is for injuries only, so he likely didn't pass his physical.

Or, at least, that's the way I've always understood it.
