I cannot believe some Ravens fans are this willing to jump to conclusions when there's very little hard evidence (so far). We of all people should be more than keenly aware of the pitfalls of such assumptions at this stage of the investigation.

Look, he may very well be guilty. And I'll be the first in line to condemn him if he's found guilty. But now? No way. Too many cases involving conjecture (Duke rape case, Amanda Knox, Ray Lewis, etc, etc, etc) and too many cases of LE botching investigations (too numerous to mention) for me to go down that road just now.

When I was in my 20's, a group of "friends" jumped this kid in the back of what was then 723 in Fells. I knew nothing about it but when the cops showed up and started asking them what was up, I put two and two together and got as far away from them as I could.

I didn't want anything to do with what they had done nor did I want to be called a witness. Two of the four went to jail that night. I was not about to get the bracelets put on me.

So yes, I had nothing to hide AND I got the hell out of there.

This. X1000. As incompetent as some LE can be, you don't want to be anywhere around if possible, especially if you're a big time athlete. I don't understand why it took four months for this to come to a head.

I don't think anybody is declaring Hernandez guilty or innocent just that based on the what's been reported so far he has enough connections to warrant some worry if you're a Pats fan.
